Ladies Tea on Sunday, July 25          

The club will honor our special ladies with this special event.  The full English Tea will be served by our male Rotarians at 2:00 PM at the home of Rosalie Wells in Jennerville.  Don't forget to put this great day on you calendar.  The guests will be all lady Rotarians and all female spouses or special guests of Rotarians.  The cost per person will be $20.00 but it would be a bargain at any price. 

Helping Hands for Haiti

Our club led the way in this district project.  The collection of canes, walkers, crutches, wheelchairs, sleeping mats, blankets, and tents continued through March 18th. The items were sorted, cleaned, refurbished, and packed before being shipped to Haiti on about April 6th.

WGARF Golf Tournament

Our second annual tournament took place at Hartefeld National Golf Club on Tuesday, May 18th..  Sponsors, foursomes, and individual golfers were all welcome.  for slightly wet but super event. 

Installation of New Officers

Dan Danese and his team will be installed on Thursday evening July 8th with a celebration dinner and recognition of our activities, accomplishments, and members.  This will be held in the Alison Building at Jenner's Pond starting at 6:00 PM.  The installation will be officiated by District Governor 2010-11 Joan Batory of the Rotary Club of Philadelphia. 

Club Supports Cleft Lip and Palate Surgery

The West Grove-Avondale has provided regular annual support to the District 7450 Rotaplast teams Argentina, Peru, China. India, and the Philippines.  We have also provided Rotaplast with Mission Directors in Dan Bronson and Rosalie Wells to lead these 30-40 member groups in providing surgery to indigent children.  This year's team will go to Viet Nam in November.
